EYE is the new institute for film in the Netherlands.
EYE has world-renowned expertise in restoration, research, educational programmes, and international promotion and marketing. It explores new methods and media to inspire young and old alike, from film professionals to movie lovers. Every year EYE organises numerous events including retrospectives, festivals, educational programmes and open air screenings that feature various aspects of films history as well as contemporary cinematographic developments. EYE aims to stimulate film culture in the Netherlands through its varied monthly programming as well as by acquiring and distributing new art house and (restored) classic films.

EYE's department EYE International aims to generate both cultural and commercial interest in Dutch films abroad in order to strengthen the position of Dutch film on the international market.
