Synopsis

Hermann Simon, the main character and Maria's son, was born in Schabbach in 1940. In 1960 he turns his back on his small village and heads to Munich to follow his dream and study music. During this era-defining decade of cultural, social and political revolution, Hermann finds love and friendship among the Bohemian collection of musicians, filmmakers and writers that populate his new life.
