A number of passengers on Flight DFB-111 from Thailand to Munich suddenly develop serious flu symptoms... followed by internal bleeding.
Anne Hecker, the only doctor on board, tries in vain to prevent a wave of panic. When she herself becomes infected, she discovers at the last moment that Factor 8, an anti-coagulant medication, prevents the deadly internal bleeding.

However, complete panic breaks out when a mutation of the virus strikes already treated passengers: Their blood turns to jelly, causing agonizing death.
