Founded in 2009, LOCUS is a world-class CGI/VFX & Animation Studio with extraordinarily creative artists and the top technology in Korea.
Its film VFX portfolio includes <Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons>, <The Attorney> and <Meet the Memories>; the latter being the world’s first VR with 4D motion chair movie. LOCUS is one of the largest TV commercial post-production studios, dominating 15% of the domestic commercial video market by producing around 350 commercials each year. It is also renowned for its high quality and incomparable work on Game Cinematics, working with numerous game studios such as Tencent, Netease and Supercell.
Locus Animation Studios's first animated feature "Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs" was first released in Korea in July 2019, followed by international releases throughout the world, including in North America through Lionsgate. Locus Animation Studios has also produced two seasons of the animated TV series "Running Man," based on the hit SBS variety program, as well as accompanying animated films. Locus Animation Studios is currently in production of an animated feature adaptation of the popular webtoon "Yumi's Cells" as well as "Exorcism Chronicles: The Beginning," an animated adaptation of the 'Toemarok" fantasy novels.
