Playa Media Group is led by Jay Joyce, an entertainment sales executive with over 25 years of international and domestic sales and distribution experience. Most recently, Mr. Joyce served as Vice President of Worldwide distribution at Artist View Entertainment for eighteen years where he oversaw the licensing and distribution activities of their 250+ title library. Additionally, his responsibilities included legal, marketing, acquisitions, and collections.
Prior to joining Artist View Entertainment, Mr. Joyce held the position of Vice President of International Sales at Cinetel Films and Mainline Releasing. Jay began his international career at MGM in the International Television division. Mr. Joyce's interest in the film industry was ignited after a university semester internship with the legendary producer Roger Corman.
Mr. Joyce has held multiple terms as an Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA®) Board Member, most recently reelected in 2019. Additionally, he currently sits on various IFTA subcommittees
