A famous young writer decides, in order to write his new novel, to go to a Mediterranean island, symbol of the hippie movement. His search for a world that virtually no longer exists leads him to encounter a compelling and enigmatic young woman who offers to help him in his research. She becomes the inspiration for his novel. But, as he slowly falls in love with her, she starts to become increasingly unreachable and mysterious, before disappearing altogether...
