Andrei Dăscălescu
Planeta Petrila, about a mining town in Romania where people try to save the old mine's buildings from demolition. It’s a more dynamic film than my first and it brings an empowering feeling (characters fight the system through art). It also features some really unique scenes of underground coal mining. It won the Audience Award at Transilvania Film Festival, it was screened at Vancouver Film Festival, Sarajevo, IDFA and others.
