Synopsis

Janasa is a mythological and epic story set in a European city during World War II and in the megalithic territories of Europe immersed in nature, around 1700 B.C. The film follows the life of the young protagonist Janasa and her 6 Sisters, the Janas, in a pre-Nuragic period. Janasa emerges as the guide in the revival of an ancient cult that honors nature and the mother goddess, which is about to be overwhelmed by a new cult characterized by brutal power, war, and the destruction of nature itself. The plot follows Janasa through initiation trials and the mission to reunite with the sisters she doesn't even know, to face both external and internal battles; a journey to rediscover values that have been lost over time. The story addresses universal themes such as the role of women in society, the struggle between power and selfless commitment, and the love for the treasures that nature bestows upon us. Furthermore, it prompts deep reflection on our times, exploring the sense of the world and its contradictions, while highlighting the significant efforts of women to assert themselves in society and the immense commitment required of young people to grow
