Megan (Knightley) is 28 and stuck in permanent adolescence. She’s been with her boyfriend, Anthony, since high school and now is the fun-loving bridesmaid and godmother for all her friends. When Anthony proposes to Megan, she lies to him about going on retreat and finds herself hiding out with her new friend, Annika (Chloe Grace Moretz), and reliving the rollercoaster ride of high school thrills for a week. Throughout Annika’s teen and family antics, Megan stands by her as a counselor and friend, and must navigate her own future when she becomes attracted to Annika’s no-nonsense father, Craig (Sam Rockwell).
