An intimate portrait of the life of Robert Mapplethorpe, one of the most controversial and influential photographers of the 20th Century. Coming of age as an artist in decadent 1970’s New York, Robert’s work ranged from studies of flowers to S&M scenes. With this works, he electrified the contemporary art world and immortalized a generation ravaged by the AIDS epidemic.
