It's New Year's Eve and in one of Madrid's main train stations, several passengers are taking their seats on the last high speed train of the year.
The few passengers who are on board are eager to get to their destinations to celebrate with their loved ones, but as the weather begins to take a turn for the worse, their anticipation begins to fade.
Halfway through the journey, the train comes to an abrupt halt, leaving those on board with no means of communicating with the outside world. As darkness sets in, impatience quickly gives way to a general feeling of unease as it is discovered that a fellow passenger has died in his seat.
