Synopsis

The story revolves around two men, You Zheng Jing and Ju Huan Bian. Jing is a middle-aged police officer dedicated to serving the people, while Bian is a wealthy businessman known for his involvement in various charity activities. Jing represents the ordinary man of justice, whereas Bian belongs to the rich and powerful class. They come from two different worlds, but their paths cross when a seemingly normal missing person case occurs.

Jing receives a theft report from the Mingdian Building, but Bian suddenly denies it. Sensing something amiss, Jing decides to investigate secretly. Meanwhile, Bian is struggling to deal with the enormous losses from his failed investment in Qingfeng Capital and is too preoccupied to pay attention to Jing's investigation. Unbeknownst to him, Jing discovers the mysterious disappearance of the thief Xiaolong Pan and finds an antique porcelain fragment with Pan's bloodstains. The crisis is closing in on Bian step by step.

Jing concludes that Pan has been murdered based on the bloody porcelain fragments. He finds that the pattern of the porcelain fragment is highly similar to a bucket-color porcelain cup that Bian is about to auction, leading him to highly suspect Bian. Bian treats Jing with a friendly but threatening attitude to ensure the auction goes smoothly.

Later, when Jing is about to retire, Bian thinks he can let go of his vigilance. Unexpectedly, with the help of several friends, Jing makes a comeback and continues to investigate the case of Pan and the porcelain pieces. He finally discovers that Bian uses fake cultural relics to make a profit at auctions. In the end, Jing takes off Bian's hypocritical mask in public at the auction, revealing the truth that he murdered Pan.
