The powerful story of the women who waged war for social and economic equality in the late nineteenth century to win voting rights for all women. Led by Emmeline Pankhurst, these well educated women with the same goals fought, were arrested - and in some cases died - for the right to vote. The group became known as the Suffragettes and in 1928 achieved the right to vote for all women over twenty one.
