Tucked away in the rolling hills of rural country lives Christine, a beautiful young woman who is trying to put her life back together after the tragic drowning of her young daughter. A misfortune, that leaves her haunted by feelings of guilt and loneliness.
She is beset by challenges from all over, including having to tend to the decaying family farm by herself, raucous visits from her eccentric ex-hippie mom, Maggie, and her wild and saucy Latina friend, Carmen.
Christine's life changes in an instant when two strangers show up, a father and son, Billy and Mike, on a road trip to help rebuild their own tattered past and unspoken feelings.
