Tonino (Luka Zunic) wakes up alone on a boat after a terrible nightmare. He has blood on his forehead and only
a vague memory of how and why he ended up there. Surrounding him is nothing but the vast and terrifying blue
sea. He jumps into the water to explore, but upon resurfacing, he discovers that he is no longer alone: there's
another mysterious boy around his age on his boat, Ima, who brings with him an deflated raft and two large
bags.
Tonino is the typical Italian boy, while Ima has the typical characteristics of an African person. They are both
wary, suspicious, and not at all friendly towards each other. Not exactly a good start. Despite their differences,
they are forced to share the same boat, frightened, tired, and hungry.
Confined in such a small space, they argue, clash, but when the sea puts them in front of the final challenge, the
two boys understand that if they want to survive, they must help each other and work together.
They soon realize that they are more similar than different, and they develop a friendship that helps them face
their fears and find new hope. Along with a way to get back home.
