Our story begins in a kingdom tucked amidst towering mountains, where goblins lurk beneath and seek revenge against humans for their past banishment. Young Princess Irene stumbles upon a secret staircase leading to a magical great-great-grandmother who weaves for her a magical thread of protection and foresight. Meanwhile, a brave miner boy named Curdie overhears the secret plans of the goblin's plot to kidnap princess Irene and force her into a marriage with their prince to bridge the human and goblin worlds. With his newfound knowledge, Curdie forms an unlikely alliance with the princess and her mystical grandmother. Their mission: thwart the goblin conspiracy and protect the kingdom.
