Jackie & Lucy are close friends, some would say too close. They spend their days together working at the local video store and their nights are spent together reading magazines, smoking pot and talking about boys.
Although their high school days have long been over, nothing much has changed. Jackie's depression is still not under control and she is incapable of a mature relationship with a man Lucyʼs overweight, still lives with her mother and hasnʼt finished either of the university degrees she started.
When they are labeled co-dependent, weird and incapable of having a normal life the girls decide it's time to grow up and prove to themselves to the world that they are normal adults. Jackie sets off to snag a boyfriend & Lucy goes after the job of her dreams but will their newfound maturity drive a wedge through their friendship?
