Maki does not get along well with society. That's why she never thinks she can look down on or discriminate against anyone. When she finds out that the man she has feelings for is a second-generation Korean resident of Japan, she is tormented by unconscious fear that by dating him, she will become even more of a minority.

Japanese people are all kind and have little sense of discrimination. Is that so? Discrimination takes place unconsciously, and the discriminators are unaware of the discrimination itself. "Does this word hurt people?" Just a little imagination, wondering if these words would hurt anyone, could make this world a little kinder place. The film gives audiences a chance to be a person who confronts their own discriminatory mind and protects people from hurting them.
